How much does an exhibition cost?
Exhibitions are priced depending on how many costumes you need and the length of your exhibition, we will be happy to discuss your particular requirements and to calculate a price for you.

How many costumes are in an exhibition?
This is entirely up to you. You can choose the number of costumes appropriate to the size of your venue and budget, even if you choose one of our themed exhibitions.

Does an exhibition include display stands/mannequins?
We can hire you display stands if required, these are £50 each for the entire run of your exhibition.

Do you provide exhibition labels?
We provide the information – a costume description and details of production, character and actor, for you to use on labels.

Can you provide film stills of the costumes?
Due to copyright issues it is rare to be able to provide film stills of the costumes for use in your exhibition or for promotional material. We can, however, usually provide images of our costumes displayed on dress stands for you to use for exhibition advertisement.

We have no experience of exhibiting costume, is it difficult?
To ensure an exhibition of the highest quality, we would recommend hiring a member of our staff to display the costumes at your venue. The charge for this is £275 per day + expenses(dressing and styling of 8-10 costumes a day being a realistic estimate).

Do the costumes need to be displayed in cases?
No, the costumes can be on open display with adequate security, but we do ask that lighting levels, humidity and temperature be controlled.

Do you provide a transport service?
No, we ask you to arrange suitable transportation for the costumes, but we can offer advice and help you by packing the costumes in the way that is easiest for you to transport.

How much should we insure the costumes for?
Each costume should be insured for £2000, from the time they leave our premises until the time they are returned.

Do you make costumes for historical re-enactments?
No, I’m afraid not. Our costume makers are busy working on film, television and theatre productions.

Can we hire the costumes to wear?
No, this is strictly prohibited! Our exhibition costumes are unique artefacts and must be handled with care and respect!
